honestly, the best way to make money is high-level power trading. unfortunatly, that's only possible if you already have the money for FoW to begin with. what people usually do (in my guild, at least) is farm their hearts out until they have around 200k-300k for keys in the DoA, then head there, chest run until they get an ele or colossal sword, and sell that to get started on their power trading. after that, they make anywhere from 3-100ectos a day, depending on how many e-bay idiots there are around.

I prefer to just solo UW on my derv and occasionally chest run for the hell of it. sometimes I'll get a sweet drop and sell it for upwards of 100k, which is always a nice bonus, but I'm not really in it for the money anymore.

I asume the concept of Power Trading is buy/sell in bulk. Buy low sell high? also known as merchanting...

DoA is pretty good if you have a Mo/E or E/Mo. go outside from gate of madness i think then use a 105 sliver armor build with spellbreaker. gather everything up then just keep all enchants on. usually 2-3k per run and almost always 1 gold item. 4-5 minutes a run usually

Pretty much, but you don't really have to buy in bulk. Often, you just have to keep your eyes open for some uber weapon being sold dirt cheap. Then resell it for a higher price. Knowing what items sell for is essential to making a profit here since buying something you can't sell for a profit can be extremely costly. Also, you should be familiar with common scams and be careful when you do your trades since one scam can bankrupt you.

I reccomend farming djinns with 130 derv for boss greens and occasionaly gold drops. Elemental Swords and collosal scimitars dont drop from DOA chests to my knowledge. Ive ran about 1000 of them and never seen one.

I farm constructs with my a/e build (no one can have it sry) i make about 200k in about 1hr so yes greens are definatly beter than farming UW, except for the ectos used in your armor of course. but it would probly be faster just to buy them with the money you made from the greens

Colossal's have been said to drop in DoA I'm not sure about Elementals though, but I mainly chest run for all of my money.

IMO it is still the best solution, since you can make huge tons of money in one day. (u can get 1200k in on week easily)

And yes .. I doubt you make "about 200k" in 1 hour.

I've farmed the necro, warrior, mesmer, and monk (the ele is a punk) and the necro is the only one that has dropped something after 30-40 kills of all of em ... let alone each green is 20-25k ..
So as Real1ty has said, don't spin this thread with BS.

Anyone that says they make over 150k every hour (WITH greens) is lying out of every hole they have.

MOST greens won't hit 20k .. And does this "Every hour" junk also account for: "WTS RARE SKINNED SSKAI SWORD!!!! 30k!!!! CHEAP!!!!" spamming in Kaineng, LA or Kamadan?

Anyway. Yea being in America for the favor thing isn't any fun. Right now it's 7:10pm and I know we won't get it (or attempt to) in another 2.5-3 hours.

But knock on wood (ok I jinxed myself now) I've been lucky with ecto drops.
Had 20 on Thursday 01-11-2007, 12:18 PM (Date of my post in E/Me Farm thread) and today is the 18th. I went from 20 ectos to 69-70 ectos in 7 days .. about 20-25 runs a night (And the first day or 2 I was learning it so maybe actually 4-5 days?)
Few runs of 2, most 0-1 and had 1 of 3 drops last night .. picked up about 8 last night. 2/2/3 and throw a few in for good measure lol

Hey dont talk about sskai sword that way it is rare to some people like me..I farmed him for about an hour each day for last 3 days he hasnt dropped it..I have gotten 13 greens so far from other bosses and still havent got a sskai and i have farmed him the most ...

im just trying to get the fow helm for my warrior...that helm alone is taking me forever to save up for...i can hardly make 30k a day if a tried. i dont know how you people do it....considering i play nearly 12 hours a day (yeah i have no life ill admit it) i still make crap money. ive been using the a/e solo build but im only able to farm the scareater, mindclouder and stormbringer with it which isnt profitable at all. i farm outside maatu keep with my w/mo and that hardly gets me 1k a run. also, america almost never has favor so i cant even really practice any builds in UW or FOW. i do a b/p run in sorrows furnace every so often and never get much from that either.

i would really love to get full mes fow and the helm for my warrior...doubt ill ever get it...all i have saved up it 15 shards..

You play 12 hours a day?!?!?!??! You literaly have no life! You should be rich by now

Since you somehow have all this time you caneasily master a Drok running build or something of the sort. You can easily make 60k per hour droks running.(Ok for ppl who are gonna yell at me lets go with 40k even though its more.)

thats 480k++ per day. How much is FoW helm? 200k? You can a whole set of FoW in less than 3 days!!!

I think everyone has their strength and weakness. I relate farming and trading to real life. Like farming is the manufacture part, and trading is like the retail part. It all goes down to what you are good at. Some are good at farming, some chest running and some good at prices (trading). I know of some rich farmers as well as traders. So i don't really agree if someone insist that only farming or only trading is the only way to get rich.

I'm saving for FoW too. We never get favor but I farm when we do. (3 ectos hooray). But while i'm not farming ecto find I good place to farm that no one knows about and you'll make a reasonable ammount. I found a good place to farm 2 greens whch a 20k-30k a piece. I farm them for an hour. Sometimes I get lucky and get 1-3. Sometimes I can farm for 2 hours and get nothing. (but still get about 10k from the other drops).

Yesterday I made about 70k in an hour in a half. Today i made about 5k =(. I'm on my way. My advice is just stick to a place and in know time you'll be too rich you'll have 5 sets of FoW and can afford Tormented Weapons. Te ha.
